Basic (POP/IMAP) - Windows

  1. Click the bottom-left Start button to open the Start Menu, type control panel in the search box and select Control Panel in the results

     

  2. Type Mail in the search box in the top right and then click Mail

     

  3. Click Show Profiles (If show profiles isn’t present, go to them next step)

     

  4. Click Add and give the profile a name then press OK

     

    For Outlook 2010 and 2013

  5. Select manual setup or additional server types and click next

     

  6. Enter your name and email address

    Exchange 2010 SP1 (Legacy Platform)

    Server Information

    • Account Type: IMAP
    • Incoming mail server: imap.exchange.simply.ms
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.exchange.simply.ms

    Exchange 2013 - (For all new/existing Exchange Basic customers and customers upgrading from NexGen)

    Server Information

    • Account Type: IMAP
    • Incoming mail server: imap.mse2010.com
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.mse2010.com

     

     

  7. Select More Settings

  8. Select Outgoing Server, and tick My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication

     

  9. Select Advanced and update the port number for your platform

     

    Exchange 2010 SP1 (Legacy Platform)

    Server Port Numbers

    • Incoming server (IMAP): 143
    • Outgoing server (SMTP): 587
    • Encrypted connections set to None

    Exchange 2013 - (For new/existing Exchange Basic customers and customers upgrading from NexGen)

    Server Port Numbers

    • Incoming server (IMAP): 993
    • Outgoing server (SMTP): 587
    • Incoming Encryption method SSL
    • Outgoing Encryption method TLS

     

  10. Press OK and next to complete setup

  11. Wait for the two green ticks and press close

     

  12. Click Next then Finish

     

    For Outlook 2016

  13. Enter your email address and click Advanced Options
  14. Tick the box Let me set up my account manually and click Connect

     

  15. Select IMAP as the account type

     

  16. Enter the server details for your platform as below and click connect

     

    Exchange 2010 SP1

Incoming mail

  • Server: imap.exchange.simply.ms Port: 143
  • Encryption method None

Outgoing mail

  • Server: smtp.exchange.simply.ms Port: 587
  • Encryption method None

Exchange 2013

Incoming mail

  • Server: imap.mse2010.com Port: 993
  • Incoming Encryption method SSL

Outgoing mail

  • Server (SMTP): smtp.mse2010.com Port: 587
  • Outgoing Encryption method TLS

 

  1. Enter your password when prompted and press OK

     

  2. Once setup is complete, press OK
