One of the benefits of using Microsoft Teams with Busines Voice is the ability to transfer (port) over all your existing phone numbers, this then allows you to use them as part of the Business Voice/Telephony solution
We have made the transferring process of your numbers as straightforward as possible and our support team are here to help you with the process, below are the steps you need to take to start the transfer process
Step 1
Open a support ticket requesting us to transfer your existing numbers across to Microsoft teams, you will need to include all the details below for us to be able to start the process
(If you prefer send us a copy of your last/recent bill this will cover the current service providers details)
Organisation Details
- Organisation's Name
- VAT Number (If applicable)
- Organisation Address
Current Service Providers Details
- Service Provider Name
- Service Provider Address
- Account Number
- Service Address (Registered Billing Address)
- Billing Telephone Number (BTN)
- List of Phone Numbers to be transferred
Authorised User Details
- First and Last Name
- Title
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Signatory Full Name
Important Note: Do not cancel any of your existing services with your existing provider whilst the transfer to being processed this is very important
Step 2
We will then complete all the paperwork required to raise the transfer order, we will send you a copy of the Letter of Authorisation, this is to authorise the transfer, this will need to be printed and signed and sent back to us in a scanned format.
Step 3
We will then raise the transfer order with Microsoft and send them a copy of the completed and signed LOA
Step 4
The transfer can take some time to complete, we have seen this take a few weeks but can sometimes take longer, we will keep you updated throughout the process and if there are any problems we will let you know.
Step 5
The number transfer is completed
Important Information
You can continue to use your existing phone numbers whilst the transfer is being processed, if you wish you can use a temporary number on Microsoft Teams if you want to take advantage of some of the features such as queues and voice mail etc. Please talk to our support team if you have any questions regarding this or need any help.
